Cole Zimmerman

Cole Zimmerman is a dedicated litigator who brings strong research, writing, and advocacy skills to complex business disputes and commercial litigation at Whitaker Bell. He is committed to delivering thorough, results-oriented representation for clients in a consultative and responsive manner.

Cole earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a minor in Business, from Brigham Young University in 2019. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2025, graduating in the top 10% of his class with Summa Cum Laude honors. While in law school, he maintained a spot on the Dean’s Honor List every semester, received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship annually, and was inducted as a Presidential Fellow and member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Cole was an active participant in South Texas’s nationally recognized Advocacy Program, completing the Texas Advocacy Concentration (Civil track). He competed in multiple moot court competitions as both a brief writer and oral advocate and received the 2025 Justice Bud Warren Memorial Award for excellence in appellate brief writing.

Cole joined Whitaker Bell in June 2026. His practice focuses on medical malpractice defense and health care regulatory matters, including TBON and TBDE proceedings. He leverages his academic excellence and practical advocacy experience to deliver thorough, client-focused representation and achieve favorable outcomes.

A native of Nederland, Texas, Cole grew up in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching sports—particularly golf, basketball, and soccer—and cheering on the Houston Astros.
