When taking “the next right step,” values matter. They guide, orient, provide direction, and facilitate positive movement to advance the mission. Stewardship, accountability, leadership and trust are the values that sustain and permeate everything we do. Their presence, or absence, have a direct correlation to our worth.
Stewardship: We are stewards of that which has been entrusted to our care. Primarily, we are stewards of our clients’ matters, resources and people. Whether trying cases that need to be tried or working toward an efficient resolution, our work should leave matters better than we found them. Stewardship also means that we are to shepherd and advance our people and their talents for the advancement of the mission.
Accountability: We eagerly exercise accountability among ourselves and welcome it with our clients. Without accountability, we serve no purpose higher than ourselves. Accountability also breaks stasis and creates positive movement to advance the mission.
Leadership: Leadership serves. Otherwise, it is self-limiting and no leadership at all. We abide in the belief that the surest and happiest means of accomplishing the mission is to lead by serving.
Trust: We continously work to build and earn trust with our clients and team. We affirm that taking “the next right step” requires a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, direction and purpose of both the endeavor and the team executing it. When stewardship, accountability, and leadership are exercised, trust occurs.
