Michael brings his passion and experience in defending health care professionals to our dynamic team, dedicated to a broad spectrum of health care legal services. Michael received his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he excelled in the Board of Barristers Advanced Mock Trial Competition and earned a meritbased scholarship. Michael also holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas, which enable him to adeptly navigate the intersection of law, science, and technology. During law school, Michael also worked as a Technology Analyst at Texas Tech University’s Office of Research Commercialization. His analytical skills in assessing the feasibility and market potential of innovations translate effectively into his legal practice, particularly in handling complex medical issues and board complaints that require a deep understanding of both medical science and regulatory environments.
Prior to joining Whitaker Bell, Michael defended a diverse array of health care providers against malpractice and other legal claims. His practice is currently focused on medical malpractice litigation and representing health care providers before licensing boards.
Outside the courtroom, Michael's passion for music shines through as he plays classic rock tunes, with favorites from legends like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC. As a licensed Texas attorney, Michael is committed to upholding the highest standards of legal practice and contributing to the continued success of Whitaker Bell's distinguished clientele.
